David co-founded Immersion Active, an agency that helped some of the country’s most respected brands reach the 50-plus market — and, along the way, literally wrote the book on marketing to that generation. When the biggest name in his industry came calling with an acquisition offer, David and his partner turned it down. Two years later, they sold the company to Home Instead in an acquisition built on shared values, shared mission, and the speed of trust.

He stayed after the deal closed, serving in executive leadership for an organization delivering more than 80 million hours of care across fourteen countries. Which means he’s lived the part of the story most exit books skip: the morning after.

He wrote Beyond the Multiple because most of what he read during his own deal was written by people who had never done one.

Today David is a C12 Principal Chair, leading forums of Christian CEOs and business owners running companies from one million to a two hundred million in revenue — many of them sitting with the same decision he faced. He also hosts Leaders On Tap, conversations with leaders in the thick of it.
